Things To Do in Dorset
The Lodge is ideally situated for exploring all that Bridport and the surrounding area has to offer and has plenty of safe off-road parking.
The South West Coast path is easily reached on foot and the X53 Jurassic Coast bus (Poole to Exeter) stops right outside.
There is easy access to the National Cycle Route No. 2 and plenty of lanes and villages to explore by bicycle. There is a cycle hire shop nearby.
Fishing and pleasure boat trips are available from West Bay.
Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre and fossil hunting (10 mins. by car) Lyme Regis and Chesil Beach are also close by.
It is a ten minute walk into Bridport town centre so there is no need to use your car for an evening out! and Bridport has a thriving music, theatre and arts scene. See Bridport Radio for listings.
Bridport market is held Saturdays and Wednesdays, with a farmers market 2nd Saturday of each month.
There are four supermarkets, the nearest of which is Waitrose just a five minute walk away as well as independent bakers, butchers and greengrocers in the town.
